Privacy Policy
Short version: Focus Mode collects nothing, sends nothing, and tracks nobody.
What the extension stores — and where
- Your settings, site-control toggles, blocklist, favorites, quick captures, distraction log, daily goal and Pomodoro state: in
chrome.storage.localon your own device. - Your focus stats and history (sessions, minutes, streaks, badges, heatmap): in
chrome.storage.localon your own device, computed locally. - The focus-window restore snapshot (original window, tab order, active tab): in
chrome.storage.session, cleared when Chrome restarts.
What the extension does not do
- No account, no sign-in, no password.
- No remote servers, no analytics, no advertising, no third-party trackers.
- No remote code: all code and audio loops are bundled with the extension.
- Content scripts on YouTube, X, LinkedIn and Reddit only hide elements you chose to hide. They do not read, copy or transmit page content.
Payments
Focus Pro donations are handled entirely by PayPal on PayPal’s own pages. Focus Mode does not see, store or verify your payment details, and PayPal does not report payers back to the extension — which is why Pro unlocking is on the honour system (“I’ve donated” in the extension).
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted on this page. The extension itself will not start collecting data without a clear, separate notice.
